Doraemon - Fanfiction Final

One day, Nobita forgot to do his homework and got told off by his teacher as always and bullied by Takeshi and Suneo like always. Even his future wife, Shizuka, was disappointed of him. Well, Nobita didn’t care about what happened today because it was just like any other days.

After school, Nobita ran home and the first thing that he did was searching for "Doraemon". Doraemon was a cat – like robot at 21^st century who always stands by his side and helps him like a best friend.

“Doraemon! Where are you?” Nobita shouted out.

No one answered him.

“Doraemon?” Nobita wondered where he was, since he promised Nobita that he would show him a new future device today when he arrived home. Then Nobita went upstairs into his room.

“Here you are. How come you didn’t respond me when I called your name?” Nobita asked Doraemon who was leaning against the bookshelf, still without any reaction to his voice. Nobita tried to get his attention by kicking him and punching him. Then he realized that Doraemon was broken…

Nobita started to get anxious about the situation now, his best friend is broken? He couldn’t believe it. He needed to do something about it.

“I need to get help from the future.” Nobita thought to himself. So he jumped into he’s desk drawer which appears to be a time machine that lends to Doraemon’s sister, Dorami in the 21^st century. It was around night time when he arrived at Dorami’s place. He found out that Dorami and his grandson, Sawashi, was having dinner in the living room.

“Hey! It’s grandpa. ” said Sawashi cheerfully.

“Dorami! Something has happened to Doraemon.” Nobita said rapidly ignoring Sawashi’s greeting.

“What is wrong with my brother?” Dorami asked anxiously. Nobita told her what happened today at home when he got back from school. Sawashi and Dorami suddenly changed their attitudes and insisted of going to see Doraemon straight away.

Nobita took his grandson and Dorami back to his time-machine, on the way back to the present, everybody was quiet.

“I hope he’s alright.” Nobita said.

“He will be” Dorami and Sawashi replied at same time, but their face still filled with worries.

Dorami and Sawashi started working on Doraemon after they came to Nobita’s room when Doraemon just sit there and didn’t even move an inch. They examined his eyes and opened his back to check the power supplies and his chip. One hour passed by and Dorami and Sawashi stopped what they were doing and said sadly “Nobita ,we found out what the problem is but...we don't think we can fix it.”

“What??? You should know how to fix him… I mean…” Nobita’s tears dropped down slowly “He is Doraemon...I can't see him like this.”

“We are so sorry grandpa. I need to explain something to you, the thing I was worried about long time ago.” Sawashi said. “You see, Doraemon's ears were bitten off by a mouse, without his ears, Doraemon won’t have any backup batteries to power up” Sawashi stared at Dorami
while he was explaining.

“Yes. And of course, we can put new batteries on him, but the difficult part is, he will lose all his memories.

“His memories will be gone? None of them will be saved?”Nobita cried.

“Yes, and a robot model like Doraemon is too old...I don't think there is anyone who knows how to solve this problem.” Sawashi said.

With Doraemon’s help Nobita gained self-confidence and ideas of his own, but he relied on Doraemon too much, he will be broken eventually since he’s just a robot. “Look! I found a letter in Doraemon’s pocket” Dorami said.

“Give it to me”.Nobita grabs the letter from Dorami’s hand.

To my best friend Nobita:

I feel some parts of me are not right recently, please forgive me hiding it from you, so I decided to write you this letter.

Nobita it's been a long time when I first met you, we have been through a lot, we did many things together, I am really proud that you have improved since the first time I saw you, but it's not good enough, you have to learn to be more independent because someday maybe not too far away in the future, I might be broken and can't be fixed , but whatever happens to me, I hope you can keep up and be a successful man, maybe you will be the guy who can fix me and when I wake up you will be the first person I see. Please don't be too sad, I am happy that I can be your friend...I believe we will meet again in the future.

Doraemon

Nobita put the letter on his desk without saying anything. But something just changed in his mind and heart. He knows he’s going to be alone now, but that won’t stop him from accomplishing what Doraemon wants him to be.

It may be a normal day for anybody else, but this day has changed Nobita’s entire life.
