Anne has a complex emotion towards the raging beast Kong caused deaths of half of New York just for Anne, he would make sure she lived.
Anne hated to think all the sacrifice was made only just for her, someday she would learn to love him again ,but not at this point in time. However, when she moisture dampened kong's fur, she could not understand why she was crying, and she realised that she actually loved him.
